One Retail Group and Take-Back, Recycling, and Disposal:

Although we all wish our favourite appliances could last forever, it is essential to know what to do with them when they are no longer useful to us. Unwanted electrical products are now the UK’s fastest-growing type of waste and although many of these electronic products can be recycled, this is seldom the case.

At One Retail Group, we want everyone who purchases from us to be able to ensure their old products are disposed of responsibly. That’s why One Retail Group is implementing the Take-Back Scheme so that together, we can help increase the number of end-of-life electric products that are recycled. We’ve partnered with experts to make sure your old products never end up in landfills.

Electrical and electronic products (WEEE), batteries, accumulators, and packaging should not be disposed of with general household waste. This is to prevent possible harm to the environment and human well-being and to help conserve our natural resources. Most electrical products with a plug, battery or cable can be recycled. Electrical products that are not recycled end up in landfills where over time, hazardous substances can leak out and contaminate the soil and water, harming wildlife and human health.

With One Retail Group and the Take-Back Scheme, you can help make a difference.

The Take-Back Scheme:

Waste electrical products (WEEE) can be sent to One Retail Group for recycling and disposal when you purchase a new product from One Retail Group, on a like-for-like basis. For example, if you purchase an oil-filled heater from us, we will take back your old oil-filled heater for recycling and disposal. You have 28 days from the date of purchase of your new product to return your old waste electrical product. One Retail Group is not obliged to take back any product which is not equivalent or similar to the new product being purchased from One Retail Group. Please contact us using our online form or email us at help@probreeze.com or more information and to arrange a collection.

The consumer that uses electronic products (WEEE) until they are ready for disposal is responsible for separating old batteries and lamp bulbs before they are handed over to a designated disposal and recycling service. Waste batteries can also be disposed of in collection bins, which can be found in most local supermarkets and household waste recycling centres. Please read the instruction manual supplied with your product on how to remove the battery safely from the product before recycling.

Contact your local council, household-waste disposal service, or the store where you purchased the product for information regarding the collection schemes in your area. You can also visit Recycle Now or Recycle More to find recycling facilities near you.

United Kingdom: One Retail Group is a member of the Producer Compliance Scheme Comply with Clarity Environmental, which collects and recycles waste electrical products (WEEE) on behalf of One Retail Group.
